[Abstract] pro/engineer is one of the best 3D modeling software at present. This paper mainly discusses the main characteristics that pro/engineer is superior to general CAD software, the main functions of pro/engineer, and the curve and surface modeling theory of pro/engineer, summarizes the main characteristics of ISDX and the main functions of interactive surface design system, and gives product examples

1 introduction

pro/engineer is a set of mechanical automation software covering from design to production. It is a new generation of product modeling system.
